At the ballpark, the California fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Freddy
Garcia(3-1) finally bested his Lewisville opposite, Mark Buehrle(4-3), by the
score of 3 to 1.
Lewisville was unable to recover after California went ahead in the 7th inning
scoring a single run on 2 hits. Vladimir Guerrero doubled. Mark Teixeira
got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. One out
later, Gerald Laird stepped in and he laced a one-base hit scoring the run.
Overall California out-hit Lewisville 8 to 5.
Dave Burba earned his 2nd save. Buehrle was the losing pitcher. He allowed 2
runs and 5 hits in 6 innings.
